About this typeface
ENG Pradell is the result of an in-depth research study on 18th-century Spanish type specimens and is freely inspired by the remarkable punches cut by the renowned Catalan punchcutter Eudald Pradell (1721–1788). The Pradell typeface family has been carefully crafted for the composition of literary texts, with particular attention paid to historical authenticity and contemporary usability. It includes a complete set of glyphs that supports all Latin-based languages, ensuring versatility and functionality across a wide range of editorial and publishing contexts. Thanks to its balanced proportions and subtle details, Pradell maintains high readability even at small point sizes, while its refined shapes bring elegance and warmth to book typography, editorial projects, and extended reading materials. The typeface is ideal for designers and publishers seeking a timeless yet distinctive serif that bridges the gap between tradition and modernity.
