Typerepublic respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.
This applies to personal information that we collect through Typerepublic website or any email communication you may have with us.
Personal Information
We obtain information about you when you create a user account on Typerepublic, when you purchase a typeface license from us, when you subscribe to our mailing list to receive our newsletter or when you simply get in touch by email. Some of this information is necessary in order to invoice you regarding your purchases.
When you purchase a font from Typerepublic, you agree to any of our licenses. Therefore, you acquire some sort of contractual relationship with us. We will save the necessary data from this contract as long as our relationship is in effect. This can include personal information (name, address, e-mail, telephone number) and professional information (company name, VAT number). Access to your account information requires a password. You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We keep your personal information safe for as long as your account is active. Nevertheless, we do not collect card information from you since it is directly transmitted to our credit card service Stripe when you purchase our fonts. Typerepublic does not get any information of your card details. Stripe protects your confidentiality of all transaction information.
Use of personal information
We may use the information we get from you for the following purposes:
- To process any order, issue the required license and invoice;
- To send physical goods you have ordered from us;
- To send information about offers and possible upgrades of the licensed fonts;
- To notify relevant information regarding our services;
- To send you our irregular newsletter if you choose to be part of our mailing list;
- To respond to your queries, requests and complaints (if any).
Data security
Under no circumstances will we sell or otherwise give away your information to third parties for the purpose of marketing their products. We are committed to protecting your data and keeping it for our own safety. We share your personal information only with those companies that provide us with support services in conducting our business. This includes Stripe and Mailchimp. We also share your personal information with our accountancy department, for VAT and TAX purposes.

We use some Social media, such as FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram, to communicate new products and foundry related stuff. We do not collect any information from followers on these platforms.
Use of cookies
Typerepublic website uses cookies. ‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information sent by a website to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognize you when you visit us. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site. We do not use cookies to profile you as a user or to provide you with any marketing information. Anyway, you can decide to turn cookies on and off from your browser preferences. Just be aware that without functionality cookies we couldn't provide you a proper service.

You may cancel your Typerepublic account at any time by signing in to your ‘Account profile’ and clicking on the “Cancel my account” link. Anyway, we will keep all those necessary details regarding your license agreement (if still is in effect).
You can choose whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive our newsletter, you can opt out from the existing subscription by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any of these email newsletter.
